Sorting through decades of photos can feel overwhelming — boxes in closets, albums on shelves, envelopes tucked away “for later.” This hands-on workshop is designed to help you finally start, with clarity and confidence.

Downsizing Your Photos With Confidence is a hands-on, practical workshop created to help you take the first step—without pressure, guilt, or perfection. Whether you are preparing for a future move, actively downsizing, or simply ready to bring order to years of memories, this session provides a clear, manageable path forward.

To begin, attendees are encouraged to bring a shoebox-sized batch of photos. From there, we will walk through simple, proven strategies to help you sort efficiently while staying emotionally grounded. Along the way, you’ll learn how to make confident decisions without feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

During the workshop, we’ll cover:

• First, easy ways to sort photos quickly without overthinking
• Next, how to decide what to keep, share, digitize, or let go
• Additionally, smart storage solutions that protect photos long-term
• Furthermore, creative ideas for displaying photos so they can be enjoyed, not hidden
• Finally, how to involve family members and reduce future photo-related stress

Rather than aiming for perfection, this workshop focuses on progress. As a result, you’ll leave with a clear system, practical tools, and the confidence to continue working through your photos at home.

The event is hosted by Jodi Rosko and Heather Fisher of The Rosko Group | Downsizing Roadmap, who regularly help individuals and families navigate both the emotional and practical sides of downsizing. Through their work, they have seen firsthand how photo clutter often becomes one of the most emotionally challenging parts of the process—and how empowering it can be to finally address it.
